Going, Going, Gone...

So my long hair has been getting everywhere lately. Especially in Rebecca's mouth, hands, clothes, etc. I am sick of it! This is how long it was...
Much too long!
So I decided to cut it. But first I braided it so I could donate it to Locks of Love.
Then I took the scissors and snipped the braid off...it was kind of scary!
And then my awesome cousin Kasi cut and styled my new do! I love it! I hope that I will still love it when I have to style my hair all by myself. We shall see....

Thanksgiving

Well, I know Thanksgiving was a few weeks ago, but I am just now getting around to putting it on my blog. Better late than never, I guess.
Brian did an amazing job of carving the Turkey! Even if it did remind him a bit of carving cadavers at school...I know, it's gross! He was a huge help with Thanksgiving dinner. I did most of the planning, but he did the lion's share of the cooking, and everything he made turned out so very yummy! I'm lucky to have a great cook and a great husband!

I made little turkey place tags for everyone with their names on them. It was a little cheesy, but Eva sure loved her turkey, and that made it worth all of my effort!

The meal was finally ready, and we sat down to eat! My family all came to Spokane to have dinner with us. We had my Big brother and his wife, my little brother Rusty, my Mom and Dad, Brian, Eva, Rebecca, and me. It was a crowd, but we were so happy to have everyone with us! It was a very special holiday because we were able to spend it with so much family!

I absolutely LOVE this picture of Rebecca with my dad! She loves her Papa! She was sitting with him and letting him mush on her and love on her. She was even loving him back in her special slobbery way! It was adorable!

We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving as well! Thanks to everyone who made ours extra special! We love you!

Eva Plays Dress-Up

I knew that I would find a use for all of my pre-pregnancy clothes that I have yet to fit into! Eva was pretty bored today, so we decided to search my closet for good dress up clothes. She said that this one was "just her size" (right before it slipped to the ground as she was walking).

Eva thought this shirt was so "soft and gorgeous!"

With this pose, I told Brian that Eva reminded me of one of the girls on this season's "America's Next Top Model." So when she tried on the next outfit, she told me, "this one is so top model!"

So Top Model!

Hugging and kissing our new tree

Smelling the tree (although it looks more like she is about to eat it!)

Pretending to decorate the tree for the camera

It's Christmas At the Allred's

Eva was playing with some stickers that were given to her by Grandma Papa. She really likes the Santa stickers and the stickers of "Root Beer the Red-nosed Reindeer". She's convinced that's his name!

We set up our Christmas tree. It's a little two-footer that fits perfect in a corner of our house. We don't have space for a tree any bigger than that. We had to set it up early so that Eva would stop asking us to do it! She sure had fun telling me where to put each ornament. And then after it was all lit up she talked to it and gave it some hugs and kisses. Needless to say, she is a big fan of the Christmas tree!

Rebecca Is Ticklish!

Rebecca laughed for the first time today and it was SO cute! I was pretending to eat her belly and found a very ticklish spot which just so happens to be the same spot that Brian is really ticklish. So now we know for sure that she is Brian's little girl! Her laugh is so funny because it's more of a snort than a laugh, but you can tell she's laughing by the cute little grin on her face. Now I've been tickling her all day just to hear her giggle, and she's getting pretty sick of it. I should probably leave her alone.

It's Raining!

It rained a ton today! But instead of making me want to curl up on the couch in my nice warm house, it made me a little stir crazy. So me and the girls visited my friend LaNae for the morning and Eva and LaNae's son, Rowan, threw playdough all over the floor. Then we went to Walmart where Eva decided to run down the aisles and see how far she could slide on her knees...and there was one time that she slid on her face. After two trips to the potty for Eva and a couple of slips and falls, I was glad to get in the car and head home for the day! Sometimes it's better to just stay in the house!

My mom and Grandma Helen came to visit me for my birthday, and took me to the Phantom of the Opera. Before they left, I wanted to make sure I got some pictures of them with Rebecca. Well, of course Rebecca had other plans. She didn't want anyone but me to hold her. We figured that even a picture of her screaming was better than no picture at all, so this is what we got!

When Brian asked Eva what she wanted her Jack-O-Lantern to look like, this is the face she made! And then she said that he needed to show some "teefs". Her and Brian had a good time carving the pumpkins!

We had such a fun time this Halloween! Eva loved being an Elephant! We thought Rebecca Belle made a cute little tiger! Eva got to go trunk-or-treating with her Daddy while Rebecca and I handed out candy from the van. Eva has been very good at sharing her candy. She picks out a treat for everyone in the family to eat after we eat our dinner. And if we don't eat our dinner, she won't let us have it!
